FALCON SHOCKS ABSORBERS LTD., have been in the business of designing and  manufacturing shock absorbers for competition motorcycles since 1977, and during that period their policy of continual development and improvement in their products has brought them to the forefront in the competition world. Each pair of suspension units is hand built to suit each customer's requirements and is set up to ensure that it not only performs as it should do but is consistently reliable over a long service life. Their units are designed around a high tensile steel 12 mm dia. hardchrome plated piston rod for strength and durability, and used in conjunction with a P.T.F.E. rod bearing and piston rings ensure low wear rates and consequently an extended working life.

All FALCON SHOCK ABSORBERS are designed to be easily rebuilt, so that in the event of damage an economic repair to original condition is easily possible. Since their original excursion into shock absorber design and manufacture in 1977 they have built shock absorbers for all aspects of motorcycle sport, starting with motocross suspension they then moved on to Trials, Grasstrack and Longtrack, Road Racing and quad suspension. During their long career in producing competition motorcycles suspension units they have been used successfully by many hundreds of riders in all the varied aspects of motorcycle sport.

TWIN SHOCK MOTOCROSS 1960s - 1981
A full range of Falcon suspension units for motocross bikes of this era have been built to include and update many of the features that become necessary in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s when long travel suspension was introduced.

The dampers have been designed with large bore 36 mm bodies, to hold more oil so that the units run cooler for longer and a twin spring set up to help get just the right feel to your suspension. The fully rebuildable dampers have bearings and seals of P.T.F.E. for low friction and low wear rate, and induction hardened rods to resist damage from stones chips etc.

The damping system has been evolved over the last five years to provide a super smooth damping action which again helps the shock to run cooler.

The piston design includes for high medium and low speed damping for both compression and rebound damping, and because they are, independently adjustable it means that the damping can be set up to individual needs. We produce two types of damper for this range:- a straight damper with the gas chamber in the top of the damper body or the piggy back style where the gas reservoir is on a bracket at the side of the shock body.

This type of shock not only allows us to almost double the oil volume but because the reservoir is away from the shock body it dissipates heat better. The end result being a shock that runs cooler so that damping characteristics remain more constant with no damper fade.

The Falcon twinshocks of this type are available in lengths from 350 mm centres to 445 mm centres from stock, but can be built to fit most bikes and riders. Both types of shock absorber are finished with gold colour damper bodies and black springs.

Falcon Piggybacks Falcon Bigbores (aluminum bodies)

The above Falcons are the 36 mm aluminum body type with a screw type adjuster.
