This bike was built/restored in 2004. It is a proven race winner (+50 INT AHRMA Post Vintage Series 1st Place (2004).

It includes the following:

Wheelsmith modified 440 motor (from Maico's Only). Cylinder is engraved with "wm"

Excel black rims with stainless steel spokes

DP pipe and silencer

Powercoated frame, fork legs and hubs

Your choice of either 38mm Bing or Mikuni carburetor (has the Bing installed currently)

Falcon aluminum shocks (just rebuilt by Canadian Maico)

This bike was featured along side its mate in issue # 31 of the VMX magazine. The current owner is moving up to another class. The bike has a balanced and blueprinted motor with all the good stuff: PVL, correctly jetted Bing carburetor, Ohlin shocks, alloy swing arm, wide pegs and Renthal bars. Very, very race ready and really fast!

This bike is a complete race ready unit. No expense was spared in it's rebuilding. Lets start with the paint, 2 part Centari enamel. The fork tubes have been re hardchromed, new bronze bushes and Teflon rings in the lower sliders along with seals and wipers. The motor has been totally re-done by myself, 2nd over Mahle piston (just try to find one) new rod and fully balanced. The trans is perfect with not a wear spot in any gear. All new seals and gaskets. A new upgraded sintered bronze clutch pack has been installed (these plates are available only through us) along with new springs and NOS steel plates. The wheels are Morads made of the old Akront dies along with stainless HD spokes. The carburetor sports all new parts including a new slide and has been upgraded to the newer style parts. New Dunlop tires with HD Bridgestone tubes, not the wimpy plastic bag type. The pipe is a Dutch power unit from Europe, these pipes develop awesome power in all rpm ranges. The seat consists of a new base, foam and cover along with new hardware. The plastic is new aftermarket. Ignition is a new, yes that's right a new Motoplat. The controls are NOS Magura and the cables are the best there is from Venhill in the UK ( we are the distributor for Venhill) we are also the distributors for Falcon shocks so it would not seem right to put on anything else. As Falcons are custom built to match riders weights and abilities I did these for a 180 lb. rider running in the intermediate level. All the nuts, bolts and washers are new with new nylocks. Virtually every part has been replaced in most cases with original Maico parts. What else can I say, if you think about it its been done, and the funny marks on the front of the tank are not dents its the reflection of the forks, that's how shiny the paint is. I would have put this in the restoration section but to be truthful I think a restoration has to be all original parts and this is a pure race bike that will run with anything in its class. All in all its a lot of bike and for $6500.00 it can be yours.

MOTOR: 87.02 bore with Mahle piston and new ring .0025 cylinder clearance. All new crank bearings and main trans bearings, new decomp valve, new seals and gaskets, new primary chain, gears in trans have been blueprinted for smoothness. Cylinder has had minor porting job for top end improvement. Clutch is the newer type OEM Maico. Equipped with DEP pipe and silencer and new air filter.

FRAME: gusseted in rear sub frame area for stiffness, original paint, lower frame is not dented or flat like most are. New swingarm bearings and bushes. Equipped with Falcon wide body shocks. Swing arm is not bent or twisted, new wide footpegs installed.

FRONT FORKS: chrome is very nice, new fork bushings, seals and wipers installed.

PLASTIC: the fenders and side panel were installed by the previous owner and are new, the tank is OEM and is in very nice condition.

SEAT: the cover and foam are new, there is a slight crack in the seat pan but very minor.

BARS and CONTROLS: bars are new controls are OEM Magura in very good condition, new Venhill cables are installed along with new Magura kill switch, grips are new

WHEELS: are new Sun Rims with HD stainless steel spokes. New HD Bridgestone tubes with new Bridgestone tires and new rim locks, new wheel bearings front and back, new brakes front and rear.

SPROCKETS: are new Talons, 13 on the front and 56 on rear along with new sprocket nuts and bolts.

CHAIN: is new D.I.D

CARBURETOR: new jets and slide along with new gaskets and "O" rings

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This is a good as it gets, its what I refer to as "race ready". there is nothing required by the rider but gas. It wont last and is priced to sell at $6500 or best offer, we can assist in shipping.
